Thickest undershirts?

A search of the forums didn't reveal much in regards to finding a good quality, but thick undershirt. I've bought 2xist shirts before, and they were ok, but I'm trying to find a T shirt that is very opaque, and preferably a v-neck.

Any ideas?

Kirkland brand from Costco are thick, cheap, and fit (at least on me) surprisingly well.

i was on the same search as you, and it was surprising to me how little was available in a v-neck (everything was crew). anyway, my search ended when i found the Neiman Marcus house brand shirts. v-necked, very opaque, and available at LC for less than 10 bucks apiece. i'm not sure how thick you want them, but i've found that having too thick an undershirt makes me feel like it throws off the fit of my dress shirt and my jacket....this one is the perfect thickness without doing that.

I was going to say the same thing. I assume warmth has something to do with wanting a thicker undershirt in the winter, but like you I'm concerned about the bulk (relative, of course) under a slim fitting dress shirt. I actually wear the thinnest undershirts I can find, but that's just me.

Sorry, what does LC stand for? I'm drawing a blank at the moment.

Thanks.

Thank you. Unfortunately, there isn't one close enough to be worth the drive. But I will check out Nordstrom Rack today, and if I can think of enough things I might need, I'll head over to Costco. Love that place.

Could not agree more with Jack's comment. Kirkland shirts from Costco are fairly slim fitting and thick. If you want something substantial, this is definitely an option.

I'll have to go by and check out their selection, they have nothing on the website to review. Not that t shirts are hot ticket sellers, so I'm not surprised. I just hope they have tall sizes in V neck.

Or you could always wear silk undershirts. They are pretty thin but warm at the same time.

I'll third that.

I'm in LA, so much of the year I'm wishing I had lightweight dress shirts, but when it's cool, I love the Costco joints.

Alas, Costco had only crew neck shirts, and none were in tall sizes.

So I wandered over to Nordstrom Rack and found some 2xist v necks. I had them in my basket for a bit while I looked around, but instead put them back on the shelf. Too thin, and essentially the same as what I already have.

The cool thing was finding RT Sea Island Cotton over the calf dress socks marked down from $35 a pair, to just under $6. So I picked up 10 pair.
