The nail pattern suggests so, can anyone confirm, though?

I just bought a pair of Carroll monks with that same heel pattern. If I don't miss my guess, they're C&J -- the inside is marked with "248," a C&J last, and the style is "Grosvenor," a now discontinued C&J monk.

You can see the monks in this post:

Thanks. DIdn't think they were C&J, but that's definitely what the inside writing suggests. I might give the store a call to confirm.

And those bal boots are beautiful. Where'd you pick those up?

EDIT - It's the C&J Draycott. Thanks.

They don't. But it doesn't mean he's wrong. The Carrolls are C&J, I believe. But C&J also produced some if not most of the early Lobb RTW line, several years ago, and those Lobbs bore simlar markings.

Well, like 20 years ago. Then EG produced Lobb RTW until the mid 1990s.

Anybody know when Carroll & Co. stopped selling English-made shoes? In recent years they've just had Alden and some Italian-made items, AFAIK.
