For some reason I'd lean towards whiskey shell in that boot. But last I heard they won't do high boots in shell, at least not anymore.

I have a pair coming to me on the F last in cognac scotch-grain with no cap-toe. It's a lovely style boot all around.

darker will be more versitle, i feel the whiskey lends itself better to more broging

whiskey would work better as a chukka i think, the design is plain so more suitable for a darker tone
