Let me start with a quotation:
'Churchill's siren-suit, Chamberlain's umbrella, Harold Wilson's gannex, Baldwin's pipe, Mrs. Thatcher's hand-bag - all are appropriate. But Pierre Laval's white ties, sported from his campaign for a parliamentary seat in 1914 until his execution in October 1945, seem bizarre.' (Richard Wilkinson)
Would you agree that the white long tie is unsuitable for anyone who is not a German judge Iit appears that it is a required accessory for them) or, perhaps, attends a wedding? Or can it work in daily life?
I've had a strange idea -- a physician who is not wearing his white coat when receiving patients might wear the white long tie as a sort of reminder.
