Not too excited about going into a winter while everyone's wearing club collared rayon shirts, but at least I'm warm and comfortable.

Messing around with footwear. Top photo is my instinctual approach to just embrace my boring complementary nature.

Bottom photo I decided to reach out of my comfort zone and try sneakers. I have seen Lemaire pants look really cool with sneakers, but I feel I have just a fundamental inability/blind spot to put together outfits with sneakers that aren’t plain monochrome minimalistic ones. Lots of folks make cool fits with Jordans and NB and other Nike’s but they seem like a riddle I can’t replicate. One thing I always liked about SF compared to other fora is the lack of emphasis on sneaker culture, but it’s kind of dumb to ignore if you want to be conversant in modern men’s style. Not sure this really works either, but I want to try to not be super safe all the time.

I have the same issue

Likewise. I put them on, and then immediately laugh at myself for thinking that I would wear them out my backdoor. I think they look great on others, and I enjoy the look - but I think I look like a complete goober.

On my usual Sunday stroll. Temperatures dropped to late February/early March levels and I'm loving it.

I generally like that once the sweater is subdued by the jacket. Also don't post a bunch of "here's a cropped body shot" pics if you're then gonna post the whole outfiT

@#dadcore i too would love to put a fit together w some colorful sneakers that I actually liked but I'm coming to accept that it's just not me. also sneaker coolness moves so fast; by the time I go "you know I could wear those" I also go "but those are going to be played out in 3 months" and don't buy them

^ cool fit but needs different shoes (vans?).

Looking over the pics before posting I thought my white leather VOR's might be a better fit. Don't own any Vans, but I think they would also work well here.
