That's a really nice cowichan. It would probably stick out too much here (Europe), but I'm warming up to the style. How do you usually wear it, as outer layer? How does it perform in cold or in light rain?

I wear it as a jacket, and my understanding is that native americans in the Vancouver island area also wear those as jackets. They wear them in all conditions, rain and snow, and the wool eventually start matting as a result, making it more waterproof even.

It's raining lightly right now in NYC and I was totally fine walking 30 minutes this morning with that as a jacket

I think Western wear and Americana are becoming more and more common in Europe. I know that in Paris, between Brut and Jinji, I saw quite a few cowichans
