Why can I never see SVB's pictures from tumblr? Using Chrome, I can see the pics with IE, though.

The prep team was definitely late! When they finally arrived, I punched one of them in the face!

But anyway, here's the deal: I tend to lock my knees when I stand, which seems to always throw off the fit of the pants of any suit. I'm not doing that here, but even still, I've never found that suit pants to hang or drape on me the way a lot of the guys in CM seem to get them to. Heavier fabrics are slightly better, and the added weight of the cuffs helps a little.

Proportion-wise, I have a short torso and long legs for my height, so I've always gone a full 2" on cuffs to balance out the visual effect of the long legs, as well as for the added weight.

I do agree that Sander's got a very similar look that at first blush looks better executed -- part of which is better (or higher quality at least) photography, part of which is that he is likely an easier fit, and part of which is that the suit itself is in fact better. So I can work on two of those three (and that ain't bad).

I don't think the Epaulet suit fits badly enough that I should toss it immediately, and while I agree on some of these niggles and have more of my own, I think it is doing the job just fine for now, until I can actually go get a bespoke suit or two from somewhere that can sort out all these things specifically for me.

I don't think that this is the answer. I've had suits with more shoulder padding in the past and I don't really care for the effect, nor do I think it looks objectively any better either.
