    I definitely agree with this point, and I assume this is a result of him wearing them OTR with little or no tailoring. This should be an easy fix, yes?

    Heresy. Well, somewhat. In this pic it looks like the wind is affecting the way the pants fall. Going without cuffs wouldn't do anything for the drape of the pants, either, and shorter would be more fashionable, but less appropriate for what is clearly a conservative suit. I agree that the closed fronts aren't great, but that's a matter of taste, not correctness. Do you like the closed fronts, SVB?

    You dare suggest that my own tastes are not Absolute Law?


    Anyway, I'm not sure you disagreed with any of my points, aside from pant length - about which I remain convinced, as is my Imperial Right. But I have never thought that any of the suits - whether meant to be conservative or not - have looked particularly good on Stanley's build. Disregard correctness, acquire swagger. Welcome to SW&D.

    That's amusing and all (no, really), but I didn't actually make any appeals to correctness, merely context. When wearing a conservative suit, he's likely to be around people who will see his socks and think, "Highwaters", not "Swag".

    Honestly, for your body shape I would go double-breasted if you need a dressier more conservative style.

    Otherwise, embrace the mod.

    You dare use the word "actually" when addressing me?

    Well, sure. Granted, I am not intimately familiar with the tastes of the California court system, but I'm not asking for ankle-cuts, just a titch less so that the leg hangs more cleanly. I think the jacket does a lot to make him look bulky through the middle, but I certainly don't have sufficient tailoring knowledge to know what could be different, or how it would be achieved - or perhaps even to best describe what I'm not liking.

    I've pretty much posted this exact same fit before but it's different this time because it's the FULL SUIT (Thanks @agvs for the pants)

    (technically not from the same set but it's the same fabric and I think that's as close as I'm ever going to get)
