Is the dislike maybe because the clothes are nice but the fits aren't totally cohesive or directional by sf standards (e.g. ramones and giant checked pashmina scarf with traditional top and bottom proportions otherwise)? And then when they are more directional like that fit with the prorsum biker/slp/chelseas there are little things off about the fit that make people think he doesn't fully "get" the look and is kind of dressing from a recipe (or Mr. Porter flyer).

Mr. Porter carries hundreds of brands, you might as well call them Barney's brands or Luisaviaroma's brands, etc...

Mr. Porter might not be as good as say Farfetched or Oki-Ni but the customer service brings me back every time. Can't beat free overnight along with the ease of returns. Hell not even the Margiela Boutique/YOOX treat me that good

I only buy mr porter during sales and I believe that revokes my rights on commenting anything on porter. I know my place as a bottom feeder.

True. And I think the pictures have something to do with it. If he was in a sleazy bar with a cigarette in hand or in some modern metropolis I think their would be less negative comments. But with that said I do get were OJ is coming when he says the clothes are wearing you. Im almost finished selling all my darker "edgy" stuff because I finally accepted that no matter how cool it is, it just didnt suit me. I was uncomfortable in it. I always had a ton of mixed emotions getting ready to leave the house in my CCP blazer and horse dickskin boots and then seeing my half way finished gundam model and c++ books on my desk lol.
