There's a difference between being defensive and responding to criticism.

The3rdConch0rd likes to discuss things more than most people here. He also posts a fairly high volume of fits. There's nothing wrong with that, it means that he's interested and willing to be an active member of the community.

RE nerds: while the stuff about only edgy people being able to wear rick is shortsighted, I think that OJ has a point buried in there somewhere about the message that you send. Maybe the reason that the3rd's last few outfits have been so contentious is because they contain some legitimately cool pieces, but people aren't really sure what to make of them. The fit with the white t-shirt and ramones, for example. The material and shape of the shirt looks really nice, and I appreciate the rare use of all white ramones, but it doesn't resonate with or successfully build on any of my deeply held archetypes of style.

That's not to say that it's a consistent problem for him, I really like a lot of what he puts together.

I have to partially agree with oj, certain people are cut out for certain aesthetics and when 3rd concord started posting my initial natural reaction was that the clothes don't suit him, sorry broski.

Accordian, that looks fantastic. Are those trousers with knit inserts, or just sweats? Hard to tell, but I'm going to try my burheads with sneakers after seeing that.

I do think your sneakers are too bland though and you need a different pair, at least from the photo.

If t3c didn't post brands he wouldn't get half as much flack. Dude looks fine.

@The3rdConch0rd I kinda like all your fits, nothing really bad to say about any of them, but what really ruins them for me is not the brands, but the palm tree in the background. It just doesn't go well with all your fall-winter garments; maybe take photos inside? Climate to suitable garments game not strong.

i don't agree w the hate on t3c either. mikey's right about the brands. too much "mrporter" which is definitely unpopular around these parts.

I think it would have been better with trousers instead of sweatpants

I think it would've been better without sneakers and exposed ankles. :freeze:

    I generally like t3c's fits.

Also judging whether someone's cool enough to wear stuff in an artificially constructed medium such as fitpics is a pretty twisted judge of whether or not someone's actually cool enough to wear something. Concord-as-fitpic-taker isn't necessarily great (I think it's the angle and the background personally, dude needs to find some burnt out industrial warehouse), but concord as individual probably looks fine in the clothing in his day to day. Or he's a fucking dork who uses expensive garments to mask his lack of personality. Who the fuck can even judge?
