I don't think the styling is working for this knit accordion. There isn't enough contrast or visual interest throughout. From what I can see of jjve stuff they seem like v challenging items to pull off
Ervell actually isn't great for tall people, from my experiences.
^ ditto. I am 5'11 and the stuff is too short on me. tall and lanky is the opposite of the ervell consumer I think. Whenever I think ervell I just see mellowfellow in my head.
What are the trousers?
I don't think there's that much to Jan Jan's clothing that makes it hard to style - a piece like that could be paired with a pair of large drop-crotch balloon trousers like Jan Jan's, a pair of cropped linen pants, any number of things
The problem is it is somewhat hard to capture on camera, it looks far better in motion
Navy, but yes. Thanks. FW12 or thereabouts. I never wear them but they are the perfect match for those navy balenciagas. I also have a pair in tan, and they are major lint magnets. I almost have to brush them after getting dressed before I leave the house.
I think with the coat it looks pretty good, especially the first photo. Maybe some slightly voluminous trousers might improve it. Then you're blending the top into the bottom more and it becomes sort of interesting trick on the eye where the hem line of the shirt is lower than expected, but isn't as obvious. Those fits where the whole outfit blends together don't look good if they are blob-like, but that top seems slim enough to make it look good. Might be interesting, but I could be way off.
Yeah, medium sized dudes seem to be Ervell's wheelhouse. Although, I did have to cuff these and I'm about your height. The footwear plays a part in that. They're good to have around because sometimes you need something crisper and cleaner than jeans, but not formal either.
Hi guys! Over on 'the other side', the theme of this week's Friday Challenge is: "wear a suit without a tie and make it look stylish"
If any of you here feel like showing us stuck-up CM chumps how it's done, you're welcome to enter: http://www.styleforum.net/t/457597/friday-challenge-february-20-2015-dress-down-your-suit
You suffer from Caveat pre-camera syndrome.
The jeans look sloppy. Either stack or cuff. Looks like you're doing both. Roll that cuff a few more times to make it look clean, or have them hemmed a little.
That coat is too cool for blue jeans and it knows it.
you're right, any suggestions for better options? i've got some dark blue heavy wool margiela that might work but thought regis-style lower half was a bit too clean
I bet living in London you can find some Margaret Howell trousers on clearance somewhere (and let me know if the have any smalls )
Dear god it's beautiful. Is that blue steel or magnum?
It's funny. Most guys here show their clothes and blur their face and then we have this guy who shows his face and we can barely see his clothes.
