Ime, the fits here are judged solely on their own merits. As long as the thread is SWD at its core I think anyone would be welcome to post an MC fit. If its good, it will be well received.

I think so long as everyone is open-minded, I think a cross "divide" WAYWT/WAYWRN would be constructive and beneficial for everyone involved. For those of us that skew SWD, it allows us insight into the thought processes behind CM fits, and gives us a platform to ask questions and help ourselves in the process. And I imagine it would be just as enlightening and beneficial for those of us that skew toward tailored clothing.

    Open-mindedness is key though imo.

You don't say? Top-tier MC posts do okay on StyFo?

Seriously, though, define "bad" in this context. My guess is that most MC fits below the 85-90th percentile would be considered bad here. (I'll use myself as an example so as not to expose anyone else to ridicule.) One of these, based on thumb count, is probably a 75-80th percentile fit, one 90th, and one maybe 95th. Which one is which, and what reaction do you think these would get on a regular basis?

yawns, mostly - uninteresting photography and wooden poses tend to get very little love. And I'll point out that tira and whoever else got mentioned - whatever, the people who get love - are not exactly dressing conservatively.

of those three, if i had to thumb at least one, i'd have probably thumbed only the second fit, tbh.

I would agree that those fits would likely not get much love here. They are all, as Synth said, pretty conservative in nature, and lack general visual interest. All the while they are considered above good, and in the case of the 2nd, really darn good, over in MC.

I would guess though that the reaction here would be some amount of thumbs, very little discussion or commenting on the fits themselves, but probably zero complaining or head scratching either. Well, Ill amend that last part, if you have established some rapport with the people here you are unlikely to get much complaining, or gtfos. And even if you have no rapport, you might get a link to MC or just ignored entirely like many SWD fits that fly by for lack of noteworthiness.

So perhaps, in a sense, not all that different from SWD x-posting into MC, by a person with a rapport over there. However, and this is a big however, the sense of appreciation for good MC is much more appreciated here than good SWD is appreciated in MC. I think thats an unassailable fact.

yeah, i think the vast majority of swd still find conservative mc to be too boring. the fit has to be sleek even if it's boring. but swd's boring is probably ultra aggressive on the mc side o,o~~~~

I like all of those fits, particularly the first one.

thanks, man. i've probably got as many coats as i do socks, which some people might consider a "problem."

i'm still waiting for the blazer to arrive, but i remain hopeful.

If you have less than 10 pairs of socks, yeah thats a problem. Otherwise, its just good sense.
