you miss a lot of funny stuff with @nahneun blocked though

All joking about jokers aside, nanny is a dear friend. Despite his acerbic online person, he's actually a very kind and thoughtful individual irl.

thanks! decided to give Bronson a try; these are the 1944 officer chinos. after I wore my RRLs down to nothing, I wanted the same idea but with a more classic fit, and these fit the bill.
Good on you! I really like Bronson. I have a couple of shirts and their tees are superb. Unfortunately, their pants are too damn short for me. I have giraffe legs. 😆

Very true. Though I don't know him in IRL, he always gives constructive feedback. The sarcasm is a feature not a bug. 😆

So do I, and I thought the inseam would be too short on these. I decided to take a chance because the overall length measurement looked right for me. The longer rise balances out the shorter inseam, depending on whether you intend to wear them at your waist or lower. I always end up with trousers closer to my hips so it worked out for me here. They're actually just a little loose in the waist and a little long in the length if I am wearing them at the hips, so if they shrink a bit over the first few washes, they should end up perfect. In the photo I posted yesterday I have them sitting just a bit higher than where they will most likely end up.

So I actually have been living with my head under a rock but I was inspired by this conversation to try and put something together with things I have in my closet to go for what I think @gettingfat was going for.

Seems like a cap, tailored jacket, casual shirt, casual trousers, classic shoes, and some kind of scarf tied in an affected way could be part of the formula.

Corduroy peak lapel SB jacket, heavy denim western shirt, off-white jeans, and some LHS. yellow marled socks. I dig it, I kept it on for the day, minus the scarf.

Corduroy SB jacket, lightweight denim button down, wool/linen cargos, and some tyroleans. Maybe with some good outerwear this could look cool but I think I would still feel corny.
This is a great look. I particularly like the second photo. The silk scarf really does take it to the next level. I have one that I never wear because I don't think I have the juice for it. Maybe I'll try it and see.
