What will it be this time? Skinny top and loose bottom, or vice-versa?

Honestly I think foo’s fits have been fine, and IMO the only thing out of place was the watch. Watch guys will crucify me because I know Rolexes are marvels of engineering (I really do think that, of Rolex and other brands like that) but they’re old man (rich ones at that) watches that clash hard with the vibe he’s aiming to. One ex-colleague (diff career paths) got a Datejust when he got a promotion, a grandpa watch if I ever saw one.

Edit: I’m sooooo happy I’m not a watch guy and buy watches rarely and based purely on looks alone (they have to be mechanical, though).

It's a good starting point.

I'm definitely a watch guy instead, but I also buy based on looks alone. In fact there is currently a huge offer of gorgeous watches in all segments, that one doesn't have to buy necessarily a Patek, a Rolex, or a Vacheron Constantin to own a lovely piece.

I must disagree though about the Datejust: together with the Day-Date, it's the epitome of classic elegance, by no way a grandpa watch.

They're fine looking mid-tier watches, but not high horology and egregiously overpriced.
Bonus points for a company invented faux-supply shortage.

I agree, they are not high horology, but, honestly, I don't care: as I said, I buy watches because of their looks and not because of their exclusive movements or multiple complications (mostly, totally useless). Weather they are overpriced, everyone has to judge for himself.

I'm definitely not a Rolex fanboy and I hate the rotten system they have created.

The Rolex supply shortage of 2020-2022 was caused by dealers, not by Rolex themselves. All they did was continue to pump out and distribute the same number of watches as they had before; it was ADs who wisened up to the increased demand and invented the AD game to create artificial scarcity.
