Celine Drugstore Jodhpur may be my new OneShoe. Buy a dozen pairs?
Celine makes a direct reference with the model name to the « Bande du Drugstore », a youth group that used to meet at the Champs Élysées drugstore in the 60s-70s. Guys wore Weston 180 loafers or Carvil boots/Chelsea/Jodhpur. The Celine are an iteration of those.
Sadly Carvil didn’t survived to the Covid lockdown.

Just a quick overview of the Drugstore gang in this old FC

Edit: translation of just a part of an interview from a « Drug » (it was the nickname) member :
« The clothes we wore:fitted suits and fitted blazers by RENOMA. Clothes from Mayfair (a shop in the Champs Elysées area that doesn't exist anymore).
Blue or green trenchcoats. Burberry macs, Shetlands, levi's corduroy jeans, Oxford shirts mostly BD, Jodphur type boots by CARVIL, above all the JM WESTON penny loafer (with the coin!). Ray-ban.
The hair were semi-long for the boys, long for the girls. »

Btw this FC is still running and time flies…

I saw you laughed at my last fit. In interest of understanding: what is so bad about what I was wearing versus what you’re wearing here?

Tool vs. cool

Noveau riche vs. young creative

2010s looking ahh streetwear silhouette vs. tonally consistent and balanced rule of 3rds

.
The list goes on but I honestly don't understand how you're not seeing these things yourself.
Like if you're attempting any kind of style, as I'm sure you'd agree, it serves you well to know some of its history and traditional rules/guidelines.

From what I know you have a reputation on the forum as someone who's willing to spend a lot on what you perceive as the best, and despite various memes I believe you have a good grasp on classic tailoring. It's also well known that you're rich, so when you've taken the a fast journey from expensive menswear to SLP, Chrome Hearts and worn band tees, it can be perceived as "inauthentic" (and it doesn't matter that authenticity is a meaningless term, the vibes still apply).

That feeling is further amplied when the examples we've seen of you wearing SW&D feel like 10-15 year old trends at this point, resulting in an overall impression of this:

@nevergreen on the other hand has been posting for years, with a style long rooted in earthy tones, interesting textures and workwear-adjacent details and silhouettes. The "evolution" of his outfits has happened gradually over time, with a clear red thread in figuring out what he likes and dislikes. Iirc he used to dress in slimmer clothes, as did a lot of us, but for a few years the trends and style overall has swung back in favor of larger and looser proportions and to some degree he has followed suit, while still staying "true" to what his style is.

If you want even more specifics of why his fits are nice, as far as I would guess/analyze/opinionate:
- Both follow the rule of 3rds, a flattering silhouette in both classic menswear and streetwear
- In the first fit the shirt is more graphic, so he's paired it with some visually simpler black jeans and footwear. The tan belt picks up on the colors of the shirt and the consistent metal accessories throughout tie everything together.
- In the second fit the pants are the focus point, with a nice blue color and a larger more distinct silhouette. Because of this he has paired them with a simpler shirt, no patterns but still some nice texture to it to go with the denim. The volume of the trousers is further balanced with some chunky shoes, that also connect in warmer tones with the shirt.

Hmm, I don’t know
Foo’s fit isn’t really good but it’s not laughable. Shirts a bit big and I’d prefer the pants looked more lived in.
I agree with KOY for the most part on the other fit but I get a bit uncomfortable with the whole SF reputation, rich, not in trend stuff. Not that it’s easy to analyze a fit with no other references to past or future posts but I think we should try.
