Feedback on the fit: that belt looks pretty cheap/mall. A more rugged, classic leather belt would fit the rest of your style better. I could imagine that a pair of pants with a less tapered fit would balance the rest better.

Have yet to read it but one of the books I'm looking forward to.

On the belt: you're right. But I wear it because it serves a specific purpose/function that I'm not sure other general purpose belts could. That said, I haven't really looked into them that much.
