Any tips and improvements welcome. My own self criticism would be the slimness of trouser but just experimenting for the time being.

Even though trends are shifting towards wide pants (so everyone will recommend wider pants all the time now), I think the ones you have on work fine here, and look good with the shoes. I don't feel like the top and bottom half are unbalanced.

You’re correct... at least from the knee down.
I’d love to get these trousers in a non skinny fit but I know chances are close to impossible. Do you have any recommendations?

Thank you, mate. Appreciate the time you took to comment. Do you think different shoes next time or do they work with the jacket?

I like the ring closure of the shoes. Is the sole an espadrille roped sole? Can't tell from the photo.

If it is a roped sole, and you wanted to nitpick, then the summery feel of that sole would be a little out of place with the heavier visual of the waxed (faux-waxed?) barbour-looking jacket. But honestly I think it looks good as-is and wouldn't overthink it.

the only picture I have of these shoes. They’re rubber soled.
The jacket is a waxed Barbour too...

They are better with lightweight black wool trousers, but I wanted to wear something other than white cps today haha

@Homme its dope until the shoes. It’s just too much contrast.

How do you feel about spending money on non-essential goods during the Covid-19 crisis?

  • I don't want to spend money at a time of economic uncertainty, even if I could afford it.

  • I feel compelled to spend to help small businesses that are struggling.

  • I reduced my budget for non-essential goods and I'm not spending at the moment.

  • Not much has changed for me and I'm still buying stuff I can't afford.
