Wearing these with a double cuff (usually triple because of the length). Should I hem for wearing with loafers etc or just get slimmer denim in a shorter inseam?

I knew those were Orslows before I saw details... TBH loafers are tough with denim, unless you're going to go fitted and no cuff. But in general i would say that tassel loafers are too formal for that fit, would work better, I think, with some kind of lace up boot, even a desert shoe or Wallabees...
