With regards to spam, I can say that the moderation team is working on this constantly, and it is a real struggle. Additional filters have been implemented, additional moderators in a variety of time zones have been brought on to combat the spam, and better IP bans have been utilized. Nonetheless, it keeps coming.

I would imagine that as exposure to the site and number of members increase, as it it constantly is (number of members and increased exposure do not always mean more posting or quality posting, just more eyeballs), the site becomes more attractive and a higher order target for spammers who live off of clicks and see SF as an opportunity for more clicks. Just a guess as to why spammers have decided to dedicate themselves to hitting SF harder than in the past. I know it sucks, but it is at the top of the priority list for moderators and ownership, both in terms of time spent deleting it, and measures spent to decrease it from appearing at all.

As far as activity decline, regardless of what pays the bills better, ultimately, activity is user generated. So, if quality posts on the SWD side have been diminishing, that is a really up to the membership to express why that is the case. Sure, there are much more affiliate vendors on the MC side, but increase in vendors does not inherently mean people will be interested in discussing their wares, and whose fault is it anyways if more MC business owners than SWD business owners are interested in becoming affiliates.

I can't speak for anyone else, but for me, a change in profession and time spent in front of a computer has decreased my ability to post, across all sub-forums. I am sure everyone has a reason, but its not like ownership has made some sort of conscious decision to ensure MC is active and leave SWD to dwindle. So, if people want to share those reasons, and make reasonable requests, I am sure ownership would be interested in hearing it, they only stand to gain by increased forum-wide growth.

I recommend using sparse terms in English in your search. having google translate open in another tab. and digging. sellers will ship overseas. if you email them and pay promptly plus postage.
it's really not difficult. try it out.

Each to their own, still waiting to see a fit from you though. You went really quiet since I challenged you to a shoe off.

Post counts took a hit when the forum changed platforms, although I think it's recovered a bit since then. Forums in general have declined with the rise of IG and reddit.

At the same time, the quality of WAYWT is significantly higher than it was back when I first joined the forum in 2010. Part of this is attributable to the decline itself; newcomers to fashuns are posting their J Crew oxford / APC denim / Clarks DB fits to r/malefashionadvice, and hypebeast kids just post for likes on IG. You also have people like @KamoteJoe slaying on a regular basis (plus some boring posters like me have stopped posting their boring-ass fits so often).

There's still a fair amount of staff-generated content, but much of it is on the SF journal rather than on the forum itself.
