1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Thanks, and I agree, dress shirt would make it more complete/structured, just recently not a big fan of sweater/shirt combo, especially with those laceless captoes I prefer more légère silhouette. Sweater could be one tone brighter though :)

Are the pants grey? I don't remember those...

If the sweater is grey elbow patch + grey sweater I think I have the same one.

Pants are anthracite grey, slightly colder than the knit. They are crafted out of very nice
woven type of fabric (90% cotton and 10% polyester).
They also made blazers and full suits from same fabric for that season ;-)

Sweater yes, grey on grey. I like those very much, but they're pilling like hell.

This is why I love Margiela so much, it allows individual styling across a spectrum of cuts and silhouettes. @mumma is a lot more OG than I am with the wide leg openings and relaxed style. I am more Miami tropical with the whites and more fitted wears...yet it is all still Margiela. Mumma has also acquired some very rare pieces that I would never find myself. His knowledge on Margiela is probably the most extensive out of any fan I've met including myself.

Alright now that we got that mushy shit out of the way

Tired of cuffs on jeans? Looks affected and wrong 99% of the times. Extremely tired of people showing ankles/socks. Like every piece of advice I've ever given I probably broke it at least one time. Hell I own skinny black cropped slacks.

Ah, OK, got it. I think. When necessary, fine. When done just because, no. But, I actually think the cuffed jeans goes with the "hiker" look. At least, it's relatively understandable. Personally, I like to keep my pants cuffed above my boots because I always have to adjust the laces, depending on the work I do that day.

I just did a visual survey of the last 4-6 pages of posts, and it looks like at least half the jeans and jeans-adjacent pants are cuffed--and most of them looked good, and not affected. That said, when you have boot or similarly loose-cut jeans, I would just let the cuffing fall naturally on the boot, and not go for a highwater look just to show the boot. I think cuffing too high can look affected. In some circumstances. To some people. Or we can just not care about this at all. Shrug.

^^ Looks great, Rico Suave. I wish I could pull off that look.

btw, I like rolled jeans with vintage-y 40s-50s looks. but cuffs don't quite look right with more modern clothes to me. I have a friend (Rockabilly guy) who wears wider LVC jeans with big cuffs and cowboy boots. Looks great on him. (he also has all the other gear, hair, lifestyle to make it work).

I like a small cuff (.5-1") for Doc boots.

It is really easy to pull off and allows for some really nice airy feels in hot climates like mine. The scarf is long enough to reach my underarms and it tucks into the pants. I just keep my jacket closed and that's about it

I've never liked cuffs, or cropped trousers. I'll sooner wear everything too long.

I do admit they look good on some people though.
