1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

    There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    To be fair I think a lot of people who've worn the hairstyle have been intentionally subverting those associations. 10 or 30 years ago if you had that haircut you probably self identified with one group or another that the nazis would've persecuted.

    As others have said though, the haircut was worn much more broadly in the first half of the 20th century, not just by nazis, so you could plausibly claim you were inspired by something other than the jugend. Nazi associations pretty much trump everything though--people keep trying to bring swastikas back because of other, folk-ish (not volk-ish) traditions, but, IMO, doesn't work.

    Yeah, I can't imagine any non-fascist scenario in which the swastika is rehabilitated.

    I like no hat @TTO, which isn't to say that I don't like the hats too.

    That is a great look, especially the coat. I'm not 100 percent sure about the shoes -- maybe gray instead? But I get that you're going for high contrast.

    What is the proportion of lefties on SF? I know a very large % of my close friends (and myself) are left-handed.

    well, to be fair, i'm not strictly left-handed, unless we're talking about writing exclusively as a measure of hand dominance. i use my left hand for writing, but i can only use chopsticks with my right. i think i also use scissors and with my right hand and play both golf and the guitar as a righty would. so not exactly ambidexterous, but not strictly left-handed either ~_~;

    I'M A FREAK

    ps. sell me that linea jacket and wear your leather coatcape instead. thanks

    I'm right handed...
    I draw and paint with my left, or used too...but purely for the disconnect.

    This is me as well! It's called mixed-handedness, if anyone was wondering.
