the context photos on this site crack me up sometimes

why wear a julius cardigan in a setting like that? you're still dressed better than everyone there with just t shirt and jeans.

I don't really care for how better dressed I am than others there. Frankly, my friends are absolutely terrible when it comes to dressing themselves, wearing wal-mart/target brand jeans with death metal band shirts 90% of the time. I don't want to say that Tampa is missing a chromosome, but it is certainly a city that does not have a knack for fashion whatsoever. What I decide to wear is not really competetive, so it ends up being more introspective of my personality. Everyone I know admires me for that kind of quirkiness and the fact that I know more about clothes than anyone else they know (even though on SF I am a huge newb! just goes to show ya about Tampa's embarrassing fashion appeal), so everyone's always eager to see what I wear out the bar on the weekend.

I have to admit though, it's a very tough piece to master. Last time I wore it to my restaurant for a beer, I had a fedora on with a picture t-shirt underneath and my raw Diors, and my manager jokingly commented that I looked like a homeless guy slouched at the bar.

Awesome, I love everything about it, your hair, the fit of everything, the rich blue of the jeans, the cuff + cuff detail (the clean fold goes well with the parallel line detail), and those sick shoes, the watch and key chain are a nice touch too, well done.

You remind me of the user Magician for some reason. Don't listen to the people saying you need to be some goth-ninja epitome of darkness recluse to wear Julius, there are other ways to wear these pieces, such as the way you're wearing it here (actually, M agician is similar in this respect). With that said, I think you could work on the fit a little. It looks a bit flat at the moment, which could be due to the flash, but I think some more contrast such as from a black belt + maybe darker jeans/shirt would work better. Also if you're wearing white high-tops you might want to go with a slimmer cut jean as they generally look better together, but good effort and keep it up

Thanks a lot for the advice!

Admittedly, a black belt and shirt would've been more appropriate and not so obnoxious as the one I was wearing. This was the same cardi that snake was wearing in his fit pic, and I liked his black shirt that went with it too.

Those jeans are super tight though. The long johns are like emo-tight on me and I usually spend a couple minutes trying to get them up my gigantic calves. Fortunately the waist fits me dead on perfectly, not too tight or too loose.

I don't really know where to get good belts from though at a good price. Gilt hardly ever sells belts, nor do I commonly see them up on B&S. Should I hit up TJ Max or somewhere else?

crazyjew you look fine, I sort of like it actually esp the sleevestacks. I can't believe you could endure deepsouth heat and humidity in that however.

I don't know what it is TBH. Everyone thought I was crazy last week for wearing a denim jacket when everyone else was in t-shirts, but it's no problem for me. I ended up taking the cardigan off around 3AM though as I was getting a bit hot and dizzy from all I drank. I've lived here for 13 years so I'm kinda used to it though, and I spend a lot of time outside running lately too.

Comments for a lurking noob?

Uniqlo/PRL/Mabitex/Fratelli Rossetti
Click pics for bigger, what with my ****** point and shoot.
Had the pants hemmed to no break, but had to at least cuff today. Feck, it was hot. Subway/Path felt like a warzone.

TBH, would be posting in WAYWT Lite, if that thread hadn't gone down in flames.

Personally, I don't think the black shoes + no belt combo works together, but that's just me.
