Also, the pant roll above the knee is going to look out of place pretty much everywhere except the beach. I'd say you should try to find a slimmer pair of pants anyway - the shirt looks fine, but something about tucked shirt + vans slip-ons seems weird to me. I would really suggest looking for slimmer-cut pants, since you look relatively fit, and the pants you've posted so far have made you look quite bottom-heavy. I think you're wise, however, to hold off on purchasing things until you have at least a slight idea what you want. It shouldn't be hard to find things, though, your "look" is popular with 95% of the posters here. Have you gone back through the old WAYWT to look at things yet?

The thing is, I AM bottom heavy and it makes finding pants really, really difficult. I have a 32 inch waist but weigh 180 pounds at only 5'10". I have a big ass and wide hips so it's hard to find something that fits both up top and is slimmer in the leg.

Do you think just getting these pants altered could be an option? Because I like the style of the pants, they were on a good sale, and sizing down isn't an option because they fit perfectly at the waist.

Thanks for the advice.

I'm not sure. They look reaaaally roomy in the thigh, and tapering things from the waist down generally lead to sub-par results, but I suppose your mileage may vary. A lot of guys have this "big ass, big thighs" complaint when really they don't. Have you tried a slimmer pair of pants with a smaller leg opening? No harm in trying. You can even post in the "should I or shouldn't I" and let all of SF laugh at you if you're unsure about the fit, as well as really masochistic.

Honestly i think it'd be worth a try finding pants with a slimmer cut. Lot's of people here complain of big thighs, but unless you're actually fat it often still looks fine with a slimmer cut. It might not work out, but if it does it'd make the fit so much better.

If it doesn't work out just get a tailor to taper them below the knee a bit.

I'd say this would be a case of the face/hair not matching the fit. At all.

Indeed. I think that he generally looks like an overweight guy wearing a whole lot of money to look very ordinary, but it's all deliberate on his part. It was just a touch of ad hominem lovin'. DaveD looks like he's pursuing that particular aesthetic though.

DaveD If you want to see a great of example of the problem with your first fit, compare it to the second one you posted. You look 30-40lbs heavier than you are in the first one. A tailor can make $10 shirt look 20x nicer.

Yeah, something's off. Right now it just looks like a diaper. The fit is too ordinary for a 2-foot rise.
