1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

the is boots aren't exceptionally far out left field. they fit well with pretty much any casual wardrobe. the shape is very versatile.

i would agree. i think the shape/toe box is not too aggressive and the color is pretty standard.

correct... it's kind of a sleeker DMs probably? will only clash with the more peacocky CM or #menswear outfits... will be at home with the more austere ones

I dont think they can be worn with a suit. You ll understand when i post a top view pic, hopefully tonight.
But as nahneun said, they re very easy to integrate in a casual fit.

lol i would never wear such boots with a suit, i hope no one thought that. i meant that within my casual wear range i think they will be fairly versatile.

soooo, i have my sights on a pair in my size but fml i have no business spending this kind on money on boots right now. i am torn.

plus one. really cool look, synth.

@Auximenes please eliminate goatee. Also i think you'd do well with a slouchier beanie like the one I have

I absolutely know what you mean. I have definitely jumped off the deep end--CCP and Carpe Diem derbies as well as 50% on a pair of Guidi side zips in one week as well as a box of MA+, Luc and Augusta headed my way courtesy of a fellow SFer you all know.

But just turn on the news or open the paper to see how the world is turning to shit and fast and it makes these things a lot easier to rationalize.

I've been thinking a lot about this recently as the boxes arrive on the doorstep.

I guess I buy new gear because deep down I must believe that I have enough days and nights on earth to actually wear them. Kind of an expensive optimism. But it sure feels good to wake up and pick out something that just came in the mail. And this is all a whole new thing for me, too. When I smoked weed the motto was "I'd rather have weed and no money than money and no weed." Now I guess I'd rather be broke and look good than the other way around.

But I'm sure this is no revelation to most people here. Just wanted to share and push Stitchy off the fence in the direction of a nice new pair of boots.
