you post the same stuff every time:

too long buttondown
cheap looking slim jeans
some ugly shoes

those are like the worst grensons ever :(

Hmm. Ill fitting shirt, yes. Sort of wack jeans but that can be fixed. Those Fred boots are fire works though.

Reedo, that cardigan does not work under that jacket...

I'd either switch the toj out for a longer coat or the sns out for a different cardigan/pullover

It actually looked pretty normal IRL, first time I ever tried it but I thought it worked well enough. Was like freezing today so I had little choice

I was going to post what meis said, but i assumed it was a pragmatic compromise. When I went out i wore my giant addidas slvr down over everything.

Sometimes you just gotta turn the sexy down to keep the body temp up. Its not horrific either, might look cool unbuttoned.

shout out to Dave, the styleforumite who my ex-girlfriend dated immediatly after i broke up with her in a pathetic attempt to hurt my feelings and funnily enough get me back, at the same time. I guess buying her a BMW for her birthday didn't work?

"There is not one black but many blacks" (YSL). This quote isn't about African diversity btw but about shades of black.

All black outfits are arduous to choose and prepare because you have to either entirely match the black (i.e. have a jacket and pants that were made with the same wool AKA a suit) or contrast the fabrics and texture. A leather is usually not that hard to contrast so it works very well even if the shade is different, which is why it is often used. The problem is when two fabrics and textures are similar but the shades are close but not the same, it looks off.

fuuma: do you have any luck matching navy wool/tech pants with black jackets (either wool or leather)? I have some dark navy nylon pants and am trying to integrate them....

You must have this mixed up with the What About You Wequiwes Thewapy thread, in which licensed psychiatrists ["thaikaitwiththth"] counsel StyleForumites about relationship woes while themselves receiving counselling for their speech impediments.

Try some band of outsiders or thome browne shirts

Band of outsiders make shirts made to be untucked, you could also get plenty of yours altered to have square hems and be shorter.

Strange how nobody discusses or buys BoO anymore on this forum. Yet when someone wears a shirt that looks odd untucked, BoO suddenly becomes the "go to" brand!
