1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

i never said that there is not value in opinions off SF. i said they are fine if that is the look one is going for. all i pointed out regarding senior pope is that often non SFers are befuddled by SF type clothing and often SFers are grossed out by non SF clothing. thats is all good and well.

the only point i was making, and what i stand by, is that if a person is more interested in succeeding aesthetically in the eyes of the general public, then why bother coming here for feedback if all you are going to say is, and ill paraphrase here, "shut up guys, all the chicks and all my cool friends say i dress so good."

thats great, so go rock out with these chicks and cool kids, but dont waste peoples time asking for feedback if you are just going to dismiss it by saying you never wanted anyones help anyways. its lame.

im not accusing any specific person of doing this, but it happens enough, and each time it makes me roll my eyes and wonder what the hell is this guy doing here?

Wish I could partake in more of these challenges but my wardrobe is fairly limited. I've gotta restrain myself from kopping now that my semester is about to start [IMG]

Haha thanks dude, I actually noticed right after I took the photo and pulled em out. Excuse the awkward pose and serious face. My blocked out upper face is actually much less serious

Studies show the red gives him a tactical advantage over enemy combatants. It's just a smart move all around.

Fair call, I've been trying to wear a little more colour recently but I'm not entirely sure how to incorporate them into fits without them being too abrasive.

I think it's just too bright.

Fit would look amazing with a dark red, dark purple, or oxblood tee [IMG]

Sick. I'm liking your hair and the pants.

White socks always a good choice

    thanks.
hard to tell from pic maybe, but my hair is pretty much cut like this

Socks are actually a light beige, but a white pair would work equally well for the aesthetic.

I don't agree with this statement. With the exception of some of the schneider/goth ninja fits that are a direct appeal to forum tastes, well-dressed is well-dressed. People won't notice if you dress like a slob because most do, but they will notice if you consistently look good.

In my experience wearing Dries anywhere will get you a second glance.

I try to do this, too, although in a different way than you. One of the coolest things about Margiela is that the clothes are intentionally anachronistic and thus can't really go out of style - you can have a '90s-cut blazer with 2014 tailoring paired with a '70's collar shirt and '80's acid-wash jeans and it looks current (but not).
