1. Welcome to the new Styleforum!

We are currently fine-tuning the forum for your browsing pleasure, so bear with any lingering dust as we work to make Styleforum even more awesome than it was. I'd like to keep you abreast of the improvements we've made over the past few days.
@notification emails have been added, in response to user requests

Attached images are now Full Size by default

Users are now all allowed three (3) links in their signature files,

SSL certification is now in place so you can all browse securely.

The server has been reconfigured so that site speeds will improve.

Notice: Right now the site is slow because we are fixing all the images from the past 4 months. Many of you noticed that these were missing, and we are fixing that problem now. Unfortunately, it is taking up a lot of resources and causing the site to be slow.

Oh, and don’t forget to head over to the Styleforum Journal, because we’re giving away two pairs of Carmina shoes to celebrate our move!

No accidents and 1 rolling stop ticket in 11 years of driving. YMMV.

I was wearing my black MMM sidezips yesterday and somebody rudely asked, "What the hell are those things on your feet?"

    I hate people sometimes.

I'm in CT (Sup AFL). Don't get me wrong, if I get any comments at all they're typically positive but this one guy had to go out of his way to be rude

Someone had that reaction to Sidezips?

I am on the more conservative dressed side of this forum and I maybe get asked about my clothing once a month and that is usually "hey man you have some oddly shaped lint on your back". The most criticism comes from my own family but that is mostly because I made the dumb decision of telling them what each piece cost

When I first started posting I couldn't appreciate a fit like Spopes and would look at it as hobo wears and would shake my head when I realize what said hobo wear costs. I can now appreciate that it takes thought and a lot of time to acquire pieces to make a fit like that come together not to mention the fabrics, drape etc, but outside of SF I imagine most opinions would be like my old one

I think the only "weird" comments I've gotten for my clothing is the few times I've busted out the backpack straps on my Siki Im jackets

I don't really get much negative feedback, unless people assume or ask directly what something costs. I often get compliments on my most mundane/cheapest garments tho lol

My response to "where's that from" is always "the internet" with no further elaboration. My TOJ fishtail gets the most comments...but most of those are "does anyone ever tell you that you look like Macklemore?"

People sometimes see me in a suit and tie and be all wtf is that shit, yo?

I do get a good chuckle sometimes at peoples reactions to how much stuff costs though. More so for SWD gear because people are way more genuinely surprised.

Just be more confident and everyone will think you are just ahead of the curve. Just don't be too far ahead
