1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

im sure stitches knows about the risks posed by smoking. he's not a retard. i don't think us talking about it in this thread is gonna convince him to do anything he wasn't going to do otherwise.

i don't give a fuck if you stay on topic (which should be clear by my high volume of 'off topic posts', whatever the fuck that means), i just don't love everyone marching in to lecture stitches about smoking as if he wasn't aware of the risk posed to his health.

the scariest thing about all this, is that i do not know of anyone who quit smoking based upon hearing things like this. i think because its removed and is not an instant consequence and many smokers dont end up like that, that makes it much harder to really internalize this message emotionally and not just intellectually.

either way, i appreciate you sharing that. the message is good one, whether or not it changes my actions, or anyone elses.

i'm not really angry. the fact that i don't capitalize stuff and like to use 'fuck' lends my posts an air of anger that doesn't really exist. im sitting in my office at work bidding on dana lee items on ebay and eating a bagel.

Stitchy, I quit because I didn't want my (then future) children to smoke. Something like a 100% greater likelihood that your kids will smoke if you do.

what kind of bagel? i always liked those cinnamon crunch ones from panera, with the raspberry spread. i'd say a bagel sounds good right now, but i just ate a huge fuck off plate of chili cheese fries (between that and smoking i'm waging a war on my arteries)

It's wholly uninspiring to me (I don't mean that as a diss, the mountaineering aesthetic just does very little for me personally), but everything looks like it fits alright. Don't think the boot tuck is doing you any favors vis-à-vis your relatively short legs.

Well, FWIW I was being serious and not sarcastic in my tone - everyone knows it terrible but seriously, whatever, there are lots of horror stories and lots of people who smoke all their life and never get sick. I smoke very occasionally (like 3 cigs a month). Sadly (and more relevant to the thread), cigarettes remain and awesome prop/accessory and seem to always look cool.

I actually love burnt bagels. I always ask them to double toast it. cinnamon raisin with butter on the side. i only use a little butter, too much makes it taste gross. i want to buy a mini fridge and just keep my own toppings - some apple butter, fresh blueberries, etc. i just joined this ultra cheap food coop so have access to so many good condiments.

also won a sweet dana lee cardi for $75.
