notwithit - like that a lot. especially the stark in brown.

    snow - HAAAAAAPY BDAY!!!!!

melon - still cant get my brain around this no beard business.

lester - coat is super cool, but looks big to me. does not seem to flatter your otherwise very in shape self. maybe a little nip tuck by a good tailor would solve it.

tegs - your replies to the critiquing of your fit was weak sauce. i expect better from you.

DL… shoulders look a little wide but I don't mind the overall look so much. I was trying to figure out why sipang doesn't like it -- besides the super long sleeves maybe because errthing seeam a little droopy in the chest for the type of coat it is. Not sure what kind of look you are going for, but maybe nauheun's rec for a structured shoulder with sharper angles would suit you better knowing the other stuff you wear.

    like this

or maybe even slight pagoda ;-)

I'm curious about the sizing on the alpha MA-1 too.

That balenciaga coat looks great. where can I find a less expensive version of it?

Are you talking about the black one Parker linked? If you can fit into japanese stuff, try KKA for around $800. Otherwise I dunno. Maybe check out Yoox or sumpin.

If black with a nice cut is similar enough, I can wholeheartedly recommend the technical layer one from COS (been wearing mine pretty much everyday the last 3 weeks)

I think Coco nailed it......particularly the fullness of the sleeves.

i don't get it, why buy a designer topcoat unless it's really special/different? You can't really wear this type with jeans.

This just looks like a plainly executed (though not as well as a trad brand) but with a bit of grosgrain at the bottom? No point imho.

DLester what's the make/model on that blue blazer? I lust for things that are in the International Klein Blue direction ever since reading Gibson's Pattern Recognition. Bought two Jil suits in that direction but that blazer might be even closer.

Its the alpha reissue. Don't think they are made anymore. Anyways i went true to size but wish it was a tad bigger. The regular alpha ma1 is a bit more puffy but still high quality amd warm as heck.
