The one with the tee looks OK(should do u-neck instead though), except for the shoes, which look too dressy or something. **** man, just wear that with some vans. or whatever. Or Docs, or MMM boots or something.

That maori necklace is probably pretty cool, but as has been noted, the choker thing is kind of terrible. You should swag your totem out, add a longer chain that's half braided fabric or something.

Nice pics, but I think when you get older you should change your hairstyle to maybe something a bit more grown up. Think Tony Leung in In The Mood For Love:

Didn't post other fits for critique - the shots were taken ages ago - just to illustrate that the jacket is good and can work. shoes, we've had this conversation before but they're misrepresented in the pic and are cool. Agree about getting something better for the necklace to hang from.

Anyway, it turns out that the linen pants just don't work with the jacket.

Works much better with jeans:

I like the subversive interaction between the shoelaces and the jacket

Thanks for the comments guys. I was going for school boy (shoes, belt, shirt, socks) primarily with a bit of late 18th century early 19th century dress (breeches, jacket, almost wore high-necked waistcoat/shirt hybrid but figured might be too much for the occassion). Any Prussian and Teutonic references are purely coincidental.

drmmr asked for a video WAYWT to see the hakamas in motion the last time I wore hakama pants so since I am wearing them today I thought I'd oblige :).

Not the same ones I wore as last time, but same idea :D. Apologies for the messy tabletop.

Details
Orphaned kameez (Pakistani tunic shirt. Still not sure what the fabric...feels very light and is translucent. I suspect it could be rayon or a rayon blend)
YYPH hakama pants (wool gabardine)
Burberry Prorsum gladiator sandals

Ivwri is breaking the internet with two great fits in one day, breaking SF's collective neck. The first one is especially good but those hakamas are godly. One day they will be mine.
