This does seem a bit restrictive and possibly forced, that might just be my misperception.

I somehow managed to insert the word "bald" into this the first time I read it. Not entirely sure why.

Also, it's interesting that the poster posits that the entire MC concept is backward-looking and nostalgic...I, for one, loathe nostalgia, although I'm sure there are a bajillion exceptions to that absolutist and blanket statement.
