    I feel like this would be possible / really fun. Very costumey, but I've had the same kind of thought about an old west inventor / snake oil salesman or some shit. I'm too fickle to go all out with a weird look like that, though, so this is what I end up wearing. Oh well.

    It's hard to tell unless he zips it up, it might actually fit... the sleeves are supposed to be long. The bigger problem is trying to wear an RO jacket with preppy stuff

    The BR is the only thing in there that could be qualified as "preppy," and even then, I don't think it looks as out of place as you might think BR with RO would. Still, I don't much like striped sweaters, so I'd swap it out for something else on that demerit alone.

    that is why i need more +j trousers so i don't look like blues clues

    exactly. perhaps as you grow a bit older it will appear more natural rather than costumey.
