    +1 to theory

I like their pieces, they fit my small frame well.

I own one piece of theory clothing and I really like it. It's this white shirt with an absolutely amazing texture/pattern sewn into/over it. sounds tacky but it's really fucking cool. and it's meant to be worn with a tie bar and has those holes in the collar for it.

I remember it retailed for like $295 which I thought was stupid expensive for a shirt at the time, but I got it on deep sale at like Nieman's Last Call or something. I don't wear it anymore because I lost the tie bar and it got too many lipstick stains on it one New Years Eve a few years back. :slayer:

Because of that shirt I would always check out Theory stuff when I came across it but was usually underwhelmed. I mean it all fits amazing but it's expensive for what it is, it's almost universally boring, and it's made in China (which I cared about a few years ago I guess

    miss that shirt :(

I have a theory dress shirt that I bought for like 25 bucks on clearance and it is the best fitting shirt I own. Slim but comfortable. The fabric wrinkles like crazy though.

Theory, along with Varvatos is like Banana Republic of designer clothing. Obviously there will always be anecdotes of finding cool, well fitting shit at Old Navy as well.

Those boots would look far better if worn with wider pants and no tucking.

+1. Theory is mediocre quality and so-so design, yet priced as if it were a higher end brand. My wife has owned a couple Theory pieces and none of them have held up well. For example a $700 Theory wool coat offered a generic design, pilled like crazy, and every button fell off and had to be reattached. The only thing good about it was the fit and silhouette.

Just noting my general confusion here, as most of these things apply to the usual forum darlings -- Epaulet (for SW&D), Mabitex (for MC), etc. -- yet if anyone ever expresses doubt, it's always, STFU, I buy fashuns for the design and the fit!. You just have to wonder why some brands get a pass, and others do not.

Like most, I like Theory's fit. Find the materials kind of meh, at least on the shirts. I happily buy them for $5 NWT when they crop up at the thrift (the one advantage of their outrageous retail, I guess).
