No that's not what I'm saying at all. I like clothes. As a hobby even. And there is so much to them that it's fun and even interesting to me to push and pull and tweak and shift things around while still trying to establish something cohesive - something where the end result is greater than the sum of its parts.

That said, I don't think I've come close to dressing "weirdly" yet. Everything I own/wear is pretty standard menswear from the silhouettes to the individual pieces. I just like to have fun with patterns/prints, materials, and styling. All things considered my style is still very, very tame though..

For example that Nepenthes pebble shirt. It's just a button down with an all over print of pebbles. Cut and fit are "correct" for this type of shirt, and it fits me "right" as well, by SF and social standards. I like looking at it though and thinking, "OK, the small nature of the patterning would look good when juxtaposed with the camo jacket. It won't be a brown overload because of the difference of scales and contrast between the additional colors in the shirt versus the additional colors in the jacket. It won't look good with raw or only slightly old denim because the color is too earthy and it would just clash, but would sync up perfectly with some worn and 'dirty' old APCs, or the fake pre-distressed Junyas that also have some brownish undertones."

By putting a little thought into it, I'm able to not look like "guy with a wacky shirt" to everyone and instead look like "guy wearing some clothes" to most people and "guy wearing some clothes - hey wait that looks pretty good and I think I get why" to some others.

In the end though it's still for me. Like I started with - I like clothes.

    so many words :fu:

Shah you don't ever think about which of your clothes would look good together and which wouldn't?

+J, ervell, and duckie brown x Florsheim

TBS was able to locate the correct size for me. I shipped back the 41. Selling the 40, it's half a size bigger than sneakers.

Snow, jacket is black from +J. It's a on sales for a really good price, $129.
