notwithit, those shoes are really, really bad. they look like women's heels - the raised leather line, the angle/cant of the shoe.. just awful. super feminine.

Notwithit, that looks good, although I don't care for those boots. The heel is fine but I don't like bicycle toe.

People are going to wring hands over the jacket length but that looks good to me as well.

I would like a closeup of jacket and shirt. Are they black or navy?

yeah notwithit, I don't even know if a heel reduction could save those beatle boots.

may I suggest the F+Bs? Here are pics of mine (after I reduced the heel, I think)

Theyre sleek and actually built very well. They're the boots I wear when I'm gonna get loosey goosey and want to look good still. I like to wear them on my moto too.

here is an old fitpic with them. please ignore mi cara.

I also really like the Grenson Christians I have. Rubber contrast sole. I wore these in New York in January and they were great.

    :bigstar:

Anyway, thanks for the feedback, y'all. Much appreciated.

Blazer is H&M, dark grey tweed with grey corduroy under the collar and on the elbow patches. Not sure whether they're still selling it. It's not on the web site, but that doesn't necessarily mean you won't find it in-store. It's from the L.O.G.G. line, which not all stores carry.

Shirt is dark purple, not black or blue.

Sounds like the boots aren't worth trying to salvage. I'm ok with this. And yeah, bicycle toe. Not my favorite, either.

If I want a pair of side-zips, but I'm not gonna ball out on Guidis, Augustas, or Carpe Diems, what brands should I watch for? Right now I know of:

    - Buttero
    - Fiorentini + Baker
    - Blanc & Noir
    - Moma
    - NDC
    - Paul Smith

    Anything else?

What part of "not balling out" didn't you understand.

Those look pretty decent overall, although I'm not a big fan of what I see going on with the leather near the heel:
