That takes a lot of energy.

I feel a strong clown pants resemblence
Sorry for the washed-out image. Hoping to get opinions as to whether these boots are too sleek and/or shiny and/or have too much of a heel to go with these jeans. Thus far, I've been defaulting to "yes".
no, but i can't really see them
yea can't really tell from the picture
DH used to pair cubans with jeans in the hedi era. i'm not sure these quite work with your overall aesthetic though.
ive been lookin for a boot/shoe to wear instead of sneaks with my dh 19cm's to no avail for months :/
Cant see boots well, but what I can see looks good. This pic you posted is basically what I wear a lot. If you think the boots look too shiny, maybe put some leather conditioner on them.
That's the thing that sucks about photos in my backyard; the ground never gets any light, so the shoes end up being borderline-invisible.
Agreed about the boots not fitting my normal aesthetic. I've had them for years, and I usually only wear them when I'm wearing a dark suit (which is to say, almost never).
Might have to look up the DHs styled with Cuban heels. Is there a specific look book I should try to find?
notwithit I know it's not your normal style, but I like the boots with those jeans more than anything else you normally post. just wear some kind of grungy or tattered solid tee shirt in grey or white or something and maybe the leather too and you'll be coollll
I like the boots. They probably just seem weird to you at the moment because you're not used to seeing them/yourself like that.
I like the boots. Would be awesome with black/charcoal jeans.
this. my only recommendation is make the heel smaller...
it looks pretty good as is, though. Definitely makes you look more, well, 'grown up'?
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
This is what I imagined Jim would look like, in Huck Finn.
