Yeah that was most likely me, that's my block. I would have been wearing a camo jacket and probably looked out of it / hungover haha

    Looks good, as always.

Question: What's your take on the casual pocket square? With that kind of fit - jeans, casual odd jacket with patch pockets - would you consider a simple cotton PS, maybe white, blue, or tan to pick up one of the other colors in the outfit? Or is that too much in the context of this fit?

I guess I'm looking for the "MC does SW&D" or "Old Men United" perspective on this.

Thanks. I don't think it's necessarily too much for this outfit, and I sometimes wear something similar with a simple cotton or linen PS. On a typical day – bring my daughter to school, work, and maybe get groceries in between – it would be too much for me: I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing it. When I wear a tie (which I don't do often), I always wear a PS.

I wonder what my teammates have to say though. :)

Gotcha. I definitely think this works without the PS; I guess I'm more so wondering whether it could work with the PS.

Also, while I think I'd pretty much always wear a PS when I wear a tie (not very often, these days), I'm of the opinion that a PS can sometimes work as a substitute for a tie in the context of a tie-optional fit.

I almost always think you should have a pocket square if you're wearing the blazer in a trad/preppy way (in fact, when I see a jacket without one I always think that pocket looks oddly empty).

Totally opposite. I rarely wear a pocket square. Even with a tie. One thing the internet hasn't been able to beat into me.

I'm mixed on the casual pocket square. I'll sometimes go for a rough linen or even a bandana type square with a casual sport jacket. I basically try to avoid overly "dandy" stuff when wearing jeans.

I like the rough linen idea (less so the bandana, assuming we're talking about that ubiquitous paisley pattern). Any place in particular where you get them?

That makes perfect sense to me. I think, for me, a PS is kind of a festive thing, to cheer an outfit up a little, if you know what I mean.
Hey Parker. You're welcome in my team, if you want. :) I'm not saying you're an old man, of course! I don't know what a bandana type square is; what do you think of the Simennot-Godard type of cotton PS's for casual squares? I think they could work with casual sport jackets.

I have a CK collection suit that doesn't even have a breast pocket. I wish more of my jackets were like that.
