has tie+cardigan ever looked decent at all?
I don't see anything wrong with this outfit at all. Colors are lush, nice textures with the cardi, hat, & tie. I actually like the shirt and the boots are nice. I think the outfit shows your personal style. if others find this look to be "not so good", it's because it's not their taste, but it doesn't mean it's a bad outfit.
You framed all those "Participant" ribbons you got as a kid, huh?
The shirt is pretty bad IMO. The cardigan is no that bad, but the fit is not good at all. I also have a cardigan that´s a tad baggy and I know it doesn´t fit as it should (snug). I´m also not a fan of the driving cap. It does look like you are trying too hard, and if you´re not, the color combination, tie width and the aforementioned bagginess of the cardigan are all signs of everything going south. You can create an outfit, but you can do it rakishly, ergo, opposite how you did it.
nyr-- diggin the beard.
That's good you're participating then, if you don't want to be apart from it.
I'll go on the record stating that I like the jeans and the boots. Enough has been said about the top half already.
Anyway, per transient's post, I decided to try something a little bit drapier today. Thought this had a little more drape to it before I took the photos, but I like to think it's a step in an interesting sartorial direction.
I also changed the jeans up, since I'm trying something different.
