why do you give a fuck about what anyone else says.

Mikey just said the same thing in rft and it just irks me that people here care so much about badly dressed people's opinions of them.

i don't understand this. Obviously social life is more important than clothes, but why do they have to be mutually exclusive?

most of my friends look past it, but its hard meeting new people when theyre intimidated by your attire.

Drix has a pretty good point. I paid for very little of my booze in college, which meant my social life and my asocial styleforum internet existence weren't necessarily at odds.

And re: Clark Kent-- as long as you're friendly/outgoing/whatever, the intimidation factor isn't a problem.

it has nothing to do with the money. but you do look a little out of place or pretentious if you're dressed significantly better than others. not to say you should sacrifice fit, but the types of pieces your wearing, imo, have to adjust to the situation...or else you'll end up like lane (jk buddy).

I've said it before, but sometimes it's a fine line between alienating yourself and elevating yourself through one's choice of clothing. Stick to the classics with subtle twists and you will stay on the safe side of that line.
