1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Texas is such a wierd place... So many misconceptions exist about Texas, but most foreign perceptions are correct somewhere in Texas. People in most cities here (with the exception of San Antonio) don't wear cowboy hats. Nobody has any sense of style, except in Dallas. The weather is stupid. The hill country is beautiful, except in the summer when you're bound to be bothered by ticks and snakes and heat and dryness and stuff. Just forget about Texas.

P.S. Tween, it's cool that we're cool. :satisfied:

DJ Screw is awesome but being from Houston it feels like people there more like to reference him and sizzurp than actually listen to his music.

what is wrong with you CDHagg?! you are a Houstonian... you should never give Dallas any kind of props. Another statement like that and the Trill will disown you.

I totally know what u mean. It's the same way I feel about Pac fans. they are more obsessed with the artist's legacy than his music.

    el paso :fu:

at least i know a good tamale place looking forward to some good mexican food since it is essentially mexico. I will try to avoid the border since there seems to be rampant crime and murders and kidnappings and beheadings, etc.

as you may know, citizens of Juarez are given day passes to come for shopping in the US, usually the more well-to-do clientele come over. A few years back a fellow came with his day pass and purchased a lotto ticket. He had the winning number and got his millions. Since he wasn't a US citizen, though, the amount wasn't taxable. He went back to Juarez with a truck load of cash.

Just tell'n it like it is. I will say this, 'though: uptown Houston is a pretty stylish scene. So are the artisanal coffee shops.
    El paso sucks.

    ^ What's the jacket? I have a feeling I am supposed to recognize it, but I don't.

    Though. It's a (complete) word.

Houston is pretty cool...my cousin lives there, tho' I prefer San Antonio for some reason. Maybe because my uncle lives in Corpus Christi and we used to drive up there for fun and eat on the RiverWalk. So many places we used to go (like Laredo/ Nuevo Laredo) that I wouldn't go now if you paid me!

interesting jacket here... deets? This fit is close to being very cool...silhouette is nice in the front view, slightly off from the side IMO. I like it regardless.

CDHagg..are you in Dallas or Houston? Let's get it out of the horse's mouth...

I spent 6 weeks in Houston a few years ago. But I had to work the whole time so I didn't get a chance to do or see anything. Plus it was July and every time I went out I nearly melted. It was the hottest place I've ever been to in my life, but people said it's just like that in the summer. I did hear though, that Houston has good food...and cheap flights out of there into Latin America. There were some nice cafes in the Village (near Rice University).

Dallas must have its nice pockets, and I wouldn't mind living there. Your style is very similar to the predominant style I saw in GCB...so I guess you'd fit into that world too...
