said it before, those chunky allsaints need more substantial top than just a tank, this at least doesn't have such a bizarre megaman-esque appearance

Everyone's breaking out their excellent Alden x LS saddles. Want. :(

Great look with those chinos, too.

    I like those shoes.

So for realz, what can I wear them with? I tried looking for All Saints and DBSS S/S look books, and the couple of photos I saw paired them with shorts.

edit: Also, I just realized I oughta swap out the white laces on the shoes I'm wearing in the picture above for some cream/natural ones.

I got the walk over dirty buck derby (http://walkover.com/Walkover-Derby-in-Dirty-Buck-Suede-color). they've literally raised the price $25 in the past few weeks though. I got them at $235, but a week before I ordered they were $225, now they're $250. I've only worn them once (to dinner last night) but they are super comfy. made in the use and goodyear welted. I'm not knowledgeable enough to urge the suede and stitching quality, but they seem solid to me. I can definitely see me wearing these a lot in spring/summer/fall.

you don't like shorts ? i tried on those same shoes but in white and was wearing baggy by SF standards white linen pants and it looked fine. you can even look at some RO chunky shoe fits, something isaora pants with looser top block for example and an oversized tank if you don't want to wear something substantial up top. just gotta mess around with proportions and it'll work. what you want to avoid is a narrow aesthetic and then those sticking out like that which rarely looks good.

...damn. Well, thanks for the input, and that totally makes sense. I'm still foolhardily attempting to wear these jeans every day on account of the contest (and I kinda dislike shorts anyway), so that kinda nixes changing the bottom half.

I'm not really sure what kind of warm-weather shirt I could wear that could add enough volume to balance them out, so I may just save the shoes for fall when I can start wearing layers.

I'll definitely look up RO shoe fits as well...maybe even check out (sigh) SZ.

edit: ^ Is that the Uniqlo jacket you just got? Looks good.

I wore giant RO hightops with kva pants and a tank yesterday and it didn't look good.

A nice fitting, plain black polo shirt? Try Ralph Lauren custom or slim fit black polo. Tips on how to liven things up are pretty simple. Add some color and lose the sneakers. Try getting a few polos in different colors, get a pair of boat shoes or Clarks desert boots or plain and simple bucks. Also, you might want to buy a few oxford button downs in different colors.

Everything I suggested goes well with raw denims. Indigo raw/dry denim hugely versatile.
