I went down half a size for those loafers, and that did the trick.

Spoilered all the comments so my post doesn't take up three screens worth of scrolling. I'm kinda surprised that slim, raw denim would be so controversial.

Jeans are SExDBxSxS12s from Self Edge. They're contest jeans, and I've pretty much signed on to wear them until next April.

I wouldn't necessarily call the top block or thighs tight - I've got these sagged completely below my hipbones and a few inches to pinch on the legs - and the leg opening is 7.5" according to the measurements chart. I think the stacks probably make the jeans appear wider below the knee, because there isn't a huge amount of taper I could add to these guys (a hem below 7" is difficult for my size 12 feet to get through). I bought TTS at a 30, and I'm sure I could've sized down to a 29 (although I'm glad I didn't). As it is, I can take them off without unbuttoning them.

All my qualifying statements aside, thanks for the feedback. These are definitely stiff, fairly heavy jeans - 22 oz. - and not what you'd call summer pants. The knee bags are probably particularly awful because it's been a minute since I've washed them. I think there's a decent chance that these would mesh better with my summer fits with better fades (they're ridiculously stubborn about holding onto their indigo), and yeah, I'd probably change things up if I hadn't signed up for the contest.

Also, jwied tank is awesome and hilarious (not sure I'd wear it, but whatever), and @ Nosu3, the tank is BDG (urban outfitter's house brand) "PE Tank". Total plebe status, but I like them a lot. Curved hem, and the tri-blend material feels better than most 100% cotton tanks I own. My only qualm is that they could be a little bit longer.

+1 to jet comment re that tank, that fucker is nasty looking.

Lel many good pics lately; hope you are having fun; I packed 2 pairs of decent shoes (jil derbs and cps) for my current trip and was happy that I did. The rest of my clothes are basically trash that happens to fit okay, but I really didn't want to forgo decent shoes.

Glad you got those ss11 shorts Ivwri, they look great on you. I need a pair + a pair of the non-cuff shorts (the viscose/linen blend are beautiful!).

Thanks guys. Really like the feel of them and pocket placement (as always) is divine

The non-cuff shorts actually look pretty nice from what I've seen of them. Lemme know if you find a second one in a size 4! :D

jwied: Yeah I think definitely go a size up on that top. A part of me does like that pattern though.

    Great pics Lel!

as i said, its mainly the heaviness/stiffness that i felt was throwing things off.

And, well said about the tank, thats how i look at it too. Cant wear it without feeling a little tounge-in-cheek, in a good way.

Hendrix fit might be the worst fit I've ever seen. No hyperbole.

judging from your waywt, you seem like the token guy who buys "designer" clothes yet still looks bad. keep reading waywt, and focus more on objective aesthetic and quality of individual pieces, not just the label.
