1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

wow I was so close to picking that up, I was hesitant because of lack of sony lenses (yeah adaptors with their proprietary mount) but for reasons I shan't repeat again lest I be banned by miran, I opted against micro4/3
have to say, though, the nex5/7 systems are beasts especially considering their size. nice work ! as soon as that threat manifests, you will be receiving a personal invitation (not that you need one ...) to contribute

They are BEASTS man. The stock/kit lens is phenomenal, and IQ of the NEX-5N is, well, astounding. My full frame Canon 1Ds III has left the building...

Great pics moo [IMG] How do you like the handling of the nex? I'd be worried that the big lens on a small body would make it awkward.

And the entire thing. Perhaps a close up would have been well enough alone. :)

I wish the jacket were a bit more fitted through the sleeves, but it'll do.

    Thanks!

It handles really well. It took a few weeks to get used to it after using a big DSLR, but it's perfect if you want great quality and you aren't a pro (check and check). The big leng doesn't bother me, as it's rather featherweight.

Has anyone ever told you that you look a little like Moby, albeit with hair?

Presumably you're less of a sanctimonious bastard, too.

Isn't that the goal, the ultimate achievement ? I just mortaged my future for 6m2 of Harnden nonchalant peasantness and it was all for nothing ?

Well, if nothing else at least this was cleared up.

The jacket is MMM. I like it, but wish it was a bit slimmer. It's a cotton/wool blend, warm and comfortable. Boots are MMM also.

i 've gone through that thread before it's you zooming sequentially into the fabric as if to suppose the perspective of an ant, what would it say walking around on your garments ??

but being outside the realm of the circus that is swd, i would not get to share the joys with our brethren here and instead be subject to suits and mc shoes overandoverandoverandoverandover again -- what would they think of boiled polyester or destroyed ram leather or gauzy wool or linen-over-leather boots !?!?!

Curious to see out of the ordinary texture shots not just close ups.
