I have, basic coloured oxfords, deep indigo and black jeans, blue, red and black ginghams, multiple flannels. Black, grey and red sweaters and a few harringtons.

Well for one howey, stay away from black and brown together, at least to a job interview. And if you're really wearing jeans and a casual jacket, AT LEAST throw on a decent pair of dress shoes (wing tips, suede chukkas, etc.). My two cents

^^funny thing is, thats the one of the 3 he was right about.

anyway, ive worn the sweater/shirt both ways in the past, but i switched it just now and yeah, t underneath is better:
