Your collar isn't buttoned-down. Not sure if intentional.

Actually I was trying to show some neck by unbuttoning it

^looks good. Not sure why I don't wear cardigans like I used to anymore, especially this time of year. I guess i'm just bored with my fits and feel uninspired lately. Maybe its the break up, i dont know.

    edit. snowman looks great.

edit. andrew, you need to post some fits. You dress well.

jet, may 15 was my la week. damn, maybe next time!

what are you getting at? are you saying one (i would assume mf's...) is more sophisticated or difficult to pull off than the other? first of all, this is an apples to oranges situation, second of all I don't think anyone tried to make a comparison between these two until you did just now? last, I guess just remember that this style stuff is largely subjective, in reality dressing well isn't hard, one might argue that mellowfellow is perhaps more precise/consistent with the fit and proportions of his outfits but so what? does that make it however much better you perceive it to be than snowman's? maybe, but that's your take, and here's a funny thing: most of mf's stuff comes from uniqlo, he does some minimal tailoring from what I understand but basically the stuff fits him perfect off the rack. so is it about the effort? the composition of the outfit itself? complexity? daring? what really makes an outfit superlative, how do we compare two outfits with distinctly different organizations?

    lol aderoll

True, style is hugely subjective and styles can be good or bad in and of themselves rather than in a comparative sense. One of the things that I think really helps when discussing a fit is to make observations about why a fit is good or bad. I know that happens occassionally, but unfortunately it seems to happen more when someone dislikes a fit rather than when they like it.

Unfortunately, without some guidelines, boundaries or rules of thumb to use in a comparison, it is tough to make direct comparisons. I actually did not mean to make as direct of a comparison as it was percieved rather to point out how two vastly different styles both got a lot of approvals. Anyway...keep calm and carry on...

aw, really? I thought those would be enough until I'm able to afford Clarks. [IMG]
dont' worry about the shoes, they're passable. Pull cardi sleeves down, consider uniqlo's slim fits if that isn't already, and look around for nicer shoes but don't burn until you find them.

Hot Dog that looks 800x better, you hardly look like the same human unit that was posting as Hot Dog 24 hrs ago.

almost makes me think we should have a "hey idiot here is how to take a decent fit pic" thread. Would subscribe.

Someone with decent photography skills should do this, a lot of really good fits appear mediocre due to crappy photography and a lot of great fits look phenomenal due to good photography.

what should I do with the left sleeve since I can't pull it down because of the watch?

jwied honestly I think you look good doing what you do now. No reason to change unless you're feeling bored.

    I concur.
