1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

a better comparison would be tailoring a shirt when it's giant in the shoulders in the first place. if it's too big, it's too big. if tailoring it will totally fuck up the proportions, then don't do it.

My Mom is a tailoress...and she said the same thing. If a shirt is too large in the shoulders, no matter now nicely it fits around the waist--it's too big. Go down a size. Tailoring will just fuck it up. Shirts come in different sizes so that tailors have more free time.

YES, exactly this. The entire last of the boot is designed with that heel shape in mind. I'm not of the opinion that you can just chop the heel later and have it not look fucked up.

did you guys even look at the original post? I said that the cobbler will know HOW MUCH IT CAN BE REDUCED WITHOUT NEGATIVELY EFFECTING THE STANCE.

notwithit said he's had the boot for years. Maybe he doesn't wanna go drop penny on a new pair but would like to have a slimmer profile? what the fuck is wrong with that? reducing the heel is a perfectly good and affordable option. The cobbler will tell him how much can be taken off and then he'll decide for himself if it's worth it or not.

I prefer boots with a substantial heel. You may or may not, but consider that in this case the pic of the boots is so dark that we can hardly see how big the fuckin heel is.

Notwithit, please post a clearer pic of the boots so we can assess whether the heel makes you look like a man or butchy girl. I am guessing that it looks just fine.
