Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, it's how I like to wear shirts like this -- with a little bit of *drape*.

I'm more in step with SW&D when it come to pants, and am trying to find something with that good Italian fabric-y quality (like Incotex), but slimmer. So far I've yet to find anything totally fulfilling in that area.

I'm a sucker for the old english docs.

I agree that sweatpants can't be written off categorically, but I would counter that the sweatpants in question don't really have a strong design element. We're not talking about some crazy drop-crotch joints with a serious taper tucked into Rick dunks and paired with some drapey, layered **** up top. W+H sweatpants look just like regular sweatpants; they just have better construction and materials, and maybe a slimmer fit than some of what's out there.

If sweatpants are part of what I'm gonna call a "directional" fit - synthese, asubu, and the kunk all come to mind as examples, although they all wear them in different ways - then it's an entirely different game. Sweatpants worn with basics and as basics, though, tend to make you look more like you didn't bother to get dressed in the morning.

Also, I usually like slack's fits, and I'd have no qualms if he paired everything else in that fit with jeans or any of the variations on chinos that W+H has put out as of late.
