1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Disclaimer: I don't know shit about shit, hence the following question:

What's the difference between aviators and Carreras? I realize that aviators are a style, whereas Carrera is a brand. A quick Google search yields the following:

I see some differences, but...they kinda look like aviators (like the ones Ray-Ban makes) that've been tweaked to have a slightly rounder lens, as opposed to the teardrop shape on Ray-Bans:

Or take these cheap-o POS's from UO (further disclaimer: I wear the tortoiseshell version of these):

Nah, I've always disliked aviators, I just don't find the shape combined with the thin frame is very flattering to the face.

Also I love when people associate me with jet even though I've probably argued more with him than anyone else on here.

    (I like him now though)

Technically those are all aviators, traditional ones are metal framed teardrop shaped with two bridges connecting the lenses pilots wear. I should start a fly ass sunglasses thread since we have that shitty one right now. Swagless fools need not apply, there will be lots of sleazy frames with gold and intricate detailing involved. If you're wearing shades just to keep the sun out of your eyes or want to look like everyone else then you will probably want to post in the other thread.

No, aviators have always been ugly and unflattering on most faces (except tom cruise and johnny knoxville (sup that1guy)) it's just that no one has realized this until now.

I don't think your hair does much for your facial structure (no hate)

Fair enough. So given that this is my body type, what sort of features should I be looking for in a shirt to help accentuate the positive and de-emphasize the negatives?

Yes, they are NS. I waited about 6 mos before the first washing.

They are APC NS, so they're not really tapered much to begin with. I've not heard the rule of tall dudes not wearing tapered pants before. Would other folks agree?

Also, I'm always looking for ways to improve my photos. Besides the blurring of the face can others offer suggestions that might help myself and others? I've already employed the tactics of moving outside, cropping the photo, waking towards the camera, and shooting from waist height.

Biggskip, for what it's worth, I thought that looked good and I can imagine that it looked just fine in person, especially since you probably won't be pushing out your chest and holding your arms weird while walking normally. Only thing is to maybe sag your pants a tiny bit.

i think the biggest issue is that shirt is too small/4 inches too short. i think you're tall enough to wear shit like brooks brothers untucked. maybe try that out.

Tall guys can wear tapered pants. I'm 6'1" and have discarded all my old denim for the N&F weird guy cut, I wear them a tad looser then the standard sperm killing sizing down a zillion and I find it complements my height. Skin tight tapered denim will make you look stupid (regardless if you're tall or short), but a decent taper looks pretty good. When it comes to pants (not denim) I err a little more to the less tapered side (still tapered, but not as much as the WG cut, for example), but that's just me.

    I don't think he's 6'1, i think he's like 6'8. big difference.
