Hey, I have that same overcoat. Looks like you have the same problem I do where there's substantial extra fabric in the chest area. I had mine tailored but it still feels kinda bulky and loose. I love the lapels and the fabric though. I think it's probably the last remaining BR piece in my closet, but I don't plan to replace it anytime soon.

Been away at the seaside for a couple of days - I'm one of those strange people who happen to like the coast in winter...

Anyway here's a couple of shots from yesterday, whilst I catch up with this thread. Weather was pretty foul...

Catch up pt1 (brain can't hold too many quotes)

finally got my winter varsity from ToJ, i was soooo pumped to see that gray shipping bag on my porch.
Looks a tad big, but might be better once it's worn in a little.
finally replaced my old new balances
    eg pathfinder
    j crew t
    j crew camp pants
    new balance

No to the NB's.The rest looks okay.
Going out to the local pub!
    Nice simple fit.
    SA
    RRL
    AE

Not my favourite pair of AE's (if only they had a split-toe), rest looks good.
    yesterday:

    dondup coat
    tim hamilton shirt
    spurr jeans

    today:

    cp company vest
    rlx t
    julian red jeans
    s2a sneakers

I like the first look, not so keen on the second.

the belt is/was black just really warn, i guess its time for a new one.

    constructive criticism is always welcome.

(random words are the songs playing while uploading pics)

No real criticism, constructive or otherwise, I like both looks.
    today after work
    ToJ
    Uni-qlo stuff
    cdg
    pledge combats

    I like this .
No TOJ for a change (and probably last waywt at this location)...

    • +J cashmere beanie
    • beams jacket (actually hunter or rifle green in color)
    • Uniqlo western denim shirt
    • +J cropped trousers
    • Uniqlo wool socks
    • Gordon Rush cuffed ankle boots
    • Saddleback Leather briefcase

I'm not 100% sold on the cropped trousers with the cuffed boots. Rest looks really good. It's been a good location too [IMG]

ManofKent - it looks like you've found the perfect jeans for you, they look great (aside from the weird way they're flaring in the shin but I figure that's just wind)

    Catch up pt 2:

I never returned that marc jacobs collection blazer I posted a while back lol. Couldn't decide, ended up going past return date so I kept it and I wear it every now and then. Looking to sell it in the future on B&S towards an MA blazer, if anyone is interested. Beautiful construction, size 36 made in Italy, would probably look astounding on someone a bit taller.

Shirt is Cristiani which I kopped off gilt final, really beautiful fabric. Only problem is that I'd like to get the waist tapered, but there are already darts on the lower back of the shirt that I think the designer put in beforehand. Does that mean it can't be taken in anymore?

    Jeans-Marc Jacobs
    Boots-YSL

Jacket looks reasonably okay in the shoulders, if you had it taken in a little at the sides, and the sleeves shortened it might work okay.

Yeah I should be down in April, Brighton does seem to be pretty good for getting fucked. Doubles of vodka for 1.25. Misc life style photos

I took a photo of the rock because I thought it looked like a ginger. I wish my hair would actually stay in the same place all day.

I'm definitely too old for Brighton these days [IMG]

I took a picture today! Pardon the dirty mirror.

    Cloak/Dior/BoO/Dior/Buzz Rickson

Great jacket. Not digging the jeans - I'd start worrying about you ability to produce offspring...

There is no fog in London. There is no London fog. Never was. It was the coal dust from the industrial era. Charles Dickens and whatnot...

In two minds about the coat - it's the collar.
    To browse the internet
    BoO
    AA
    Khakis
    CP

I don't understand the hate for V's. Jacket looks fine. The jeans looked much better than the khakis.
I never wear cardigans, like ever. Any pointers would be much appreciated.
    +J
    Shirt
    Levi's
    AE

Looks okay, but I think unbuttoning a button or two would look better.
Feel free to make fun of my J. Crew steez:

Need to get my shirts taken in (and a haircut).

I've no problem with J.Crew when it fits. This doesn't. Everything is too loose. Even if you've got a gut, wear closer fitting stuff - going baggy doesn't hide it.

To dinner for a friend's birthday.
    Junya Watanabe Insulated Shirt
    CDG Homme Shirt
    Junya Watanabe Screenprinted Jeans
    Junya Watanabe Boots

The jeans caught my eye most. I like the insulated shirt but the CDG shirt doesn't do it for me.
x-post from MC, sorry for the tie & jeans...

    Deets:
    Camel overcoat: Banana Republic
Shirt: some bigass collar I got in Italy in '03
    Tie: Panta
    Vest: Panta
    Jeans: Levi's
    Boots: Peal

I like this and don't mind the jeans with the tie too much - I think the vest helps (great vest). I'm oddly drawn to the big collar too - 70's steeze [IMG]

    Levi
    American Eagle
    Old Navy
    Dickies
    RMW

The differing shades (and textures) of the blue work well, not a fan of the footwear, but otherwise I like this. Nicely pulled together.

Mainly the wind, and they're still pretty stiff. Another wash might help, but I think I should have sized down - they're just a bit too loose everywhere.

I like the vest. Not keen on the Birkenstocks.

Nobody on Style Forum ever likes the Birks.

    I am okay with this.

    Feedback is still always appreciated.
