^ i just wasted time on that thread too[IMG] whats wrong with american heritage look -____- i think its definitely getting overdone, but seeing as the basis for all of that is heavier and thick textured materials and knits... i dont see how its fundamentally boring or bad :[ =
I don't think there is anything necessarily wrong with certain pieces from that tradition. I'm just lamenting when it borders on a costume. Seriously, some of the stuff is just way over the top corny. I like it when it's a bit more toned down, original, interpreted, or subtle. Over the top, hit you on the head stuff just lacks nuance. Textured materials is hardly something exclusive to heritage.
Where have you been? This is a bona fide original and one of the crowning images in the Creepy Satorial Images thread.
    Don't believe you.

I'm sorry, but this has to be stated just because my world is about to end - I assume this is shopped.

    Assume?

Have you not looked at any of the pixels? Have you not seen a few 'shops in your time??!

i meant the trend is based of trad textured materials:

different types of knits, marled cotton, wool blends, etc etc. not that they're exclusive. granted i agree its overplayed nowadays...

Those hands are different. It's shopped. I don't believe [IMG] would make the mistake of wearing Thom Browne.

Also dead giveaway - Foo is way too tall in that pic. I think the guy is like 5'1" or something in real life. He's like 5'9" in that shopped photo.

    Sorry sofsteez.

Yeah seriously, wool trousers and tucking in your shirt? As if him being 5"2' wasn't bad enough...

wool trousers and shirt tuck are good advice.

    Moo + Foo.

Foo was always pretty damn sharp, Moo's looking pretty good too these days.

    good fun.

I always think of crazy man in red.
